Majestic TheaterThe Majestic Theater

The Majestic Theater opened in Gettysburg in 1925 as the largest vaudeville and silent movie theater in south-central Pennsylvania. The theater was designed by the prominent Philadelphia architect W.H. Lee, and built by Henry Scharf, manager of the historic Hotel Gettysburg. The $16 million restoration of the theater has meticulously re-created its original Colonial Revival features. Mamie's Cafe

Mamie's Cafe

This delightfully smoke-free fashionable café is an architectural homage to Mamie Eisenhower, wife of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and frequent patron of the Majestic Theater.  Mamie's celebrates the swanky era of the 1950s when tulle ruled, Dior was adored, and Sinatra topped the Hit Parade.
