2010 Hanover Evening Sun Readers Choice Best Movie Theater

Movies at the Majestic Theater have been a downtown tradition since Cecil B. DeMille's 10-reel melodrama, The Road to Yesterday, was featured at the theater's opening gala on November 14, 1925.

Eighty years later, with the theater's transformation into a performing arts and cinema center, Movies at the Majestic enter a new era. The expanded Majestic Center features two new cinemas with comfortable stadium seating, 35-mm and digital film projection, high-tech sound, cuddle-up seats and gourmet concessions.

The Majestic's nightly film series features the highest quality, highest profile art films, including American independent films, foreign language films, documentaries, short subjects, and film festival prize winners.

Please remember that film tickets may be only be purchased by calling (717) 337-8200 or visiting the box office at 25 Carlisle Street during box office hours (Monday through Saturday opening at noon, and Sunday opening at 1pm).

Movies at the Majestic are back and better than ever!
